‘Rates Administration Fundamentals’ training session

The LGA Education and Training Service has scheduled a 'Rates Administration Fundamentals' training session to be held on 28 & 29 May 2012.

FINAL CALL FOR REGISTRATIONS

Course Overview:

In SA, property rates are the only tax available to Councils and Council rates account for about 60% of Councils' income. Councils are able to use site value, capital value or annual value for property rating purposes and each Council must have a rating policy that states which value has been chosen and why. Participants attending this two-day course will gain knowledge of the basic legal requirements that underpin the rate administrator role.
